Our purpose is to foster peace and reconciliation by promoting interfaith dialogue. We also aim to maximize charitable contributions on both a local and a global scale.
A Better Community for All Pakistan (ABC4ALL) was launched on Global Love Day in 2008. As a Cooperation Circle, we have organized community meetings to inform women and children in our community about URI's Preamble, Purpose and Principles. We have also met with other faith communities to dialogue and celebrate worldwide events like International Day of Peace and World Interfaith Harmony Week. Our participation in World Interfaith Harmony Week 2013 was particularly successful. To celebrate this occasion, Muslim and Christian school children and teachers came together to eat, pray, and share songs and poems about harmony, love, and peace.
Reports of International Day of Peace Activities 2014:
On September 21, 2014 Sunday the International Day of Peace Celebrated by the at The Central Cathedral Praying Hands Church, Lahore, Pakistan with Collaboration of "A Better Community for All Pakistan-URI Cooperation Circle" and members of Youth Peace Revolution-CC. Pastor Emmanuel Khokhar announce in beginning of Sunday service. Today besides our Sunday routine service we are celebrating the International Day Church Choir sings peace songs and Pastor Emmanuel Khokhar gave very touching message from the Holy Bible. Mr. Yuel Bhatti read from Holy Bible and explain the history of International Day of Peace and reflect the peace and harmony work of URI Pakistan and said that the congregation of The Central Cathedral Praying Hands Church is very unique mostly celebrate the International Days and this is not first time we are celebrating the International Day of Peace.The theme of IDP 2014 is THE RIGHT OF PEOPLES TO PEACE and also quite the message of UN Secretary General. The members of A better Community for All Pakistan-CC and Youth Peace Revolution-CC sing two peace songs led by Mr. Amir and Miss Saira Pari which were inspiring and time indeed. Yuel also thanks the Pastor Emmanuel and Pastoral Committee for the celebration of IDP 2014 in the Church. Mr. Aqueel Khan led peace prayer. It was also pledged everybody in the church that they recite the universal Prayer at 12:00 noon daily and will spread the message of: May Peace Prevail on Earth! & May Peace prevail in Pakistan!
On Sunday 28th September 2014 the Global Mission Awareness-CC and A Better Community for All Pakistan-CC Celebrated the International Day of Peace with the congregation of International Gospel Mission at Church and Church Ground, Dilkhusha, Lahore. Rev. Dr. Marqus Fida announced that today we are celebrating the International Day of Peace 2014 and gave powerful message of peace and its need and quoted many references from the holy Bible and Mr. Yuel Bhatti reflect the importance of International Day of Peace.After the routine Sunday Worship service the entire congregation gathered in the Lawn of Church where the Peace Pole is erected few year back holding banner and ply card prepared by the Teacher and students of ABC4ALL School. Miss Anum Riaz Teacher of ABC4ALL School and Miss Joyce Fida, Comparer of 7Star TV recite the Peace Prayer of St. Assai along with all participants. Rev. Nayyab Jamal Said that our congregation is unique and they are the part of the Peace Promoter under the Leadership of Rev. Marqus Fida and we are the Let us “BE THE PEACE” peace begins with I families. We have to put our share for noble cause.
Mrs. Yasmin Fida, Women Coordinator of Global Mission Awareness-CC express her view about the peace and harmony she said, every mother can be the Model of peace and they are. She also stress about the importance of education as “Education is Best toll for peace “we have the rights of peace.
Mr. Yuel Bhatti, Coordinator of A better Community for All Pakistan said every year we celebrate the IDP as announced by the UN. I am happy that the Congregation of IGM participated he reflect on theme and the message of UN Secretary General. Fr. James Channan OP sent best wishes for the program.
Rev. Marqus Fida, Coordinator/Chairman of the Global Mission Awareness said, in the present situation we have to put our share in peace process. There are certain news we watch on TV for violence but we hoped that one day we will see sustainable peace in Pakistan and worldwide. On 27th September 2014 ABC4All School and Youth Peace Revolution-CC Celebrated the UN International Day of Peace by the Students and Teachers and members of Youth Peace Revolution-CC with great zeal and enthusiasm. The guests were welcome by garlanded Mr. Yuel Bhatti reflect about the International Day of Peace. It is our tradition that A Better community for All Pakistan-CC always celebrated the IDP. The theme of this year of IDP is "THE RIGHT OF PEOPLE TO PEACE" means that every people who live in slums, remote or Posh area are the the right of Peace. Today we are celebrating the IDP 2014 with collaboration of Youth Peace Revolution-CC and mostly they visit and join in our program. Mrs. Parveen Senior teacher explain about the activities of School beside of General education. Miss Ruby recite the Peace prayer of St. Francis Assisi and all participants join in the prayers. Mr. Amir Khokhar second contact person of Youth Peace Revolution -CC reflect and said how the peace is necessary for our present environments specially in our country. These children are our future. Mr. Sheer Khan said that I am very much impressed with IDP program. The Teachers, students of school and members of Youth Peace Revolution-CC sing marvelous peace songs and recite the peace poem.
The Students presents two tabuelo/Drama reflecting the Harmony, peace, women and children rights for peace and love and reflecting that Education is best tool for Peace around the Peace Pole. Miss Saira Pari teacher of school recite peace poem and Miss Anum Riaz prepared beautiful peace ply cards. The Principal, Yuel Bhatti thanks all the students and guest for their wonderful presentation. All Children and guests were entertained with refreshments. In this school Muslim and Christian children getting their study togather at remote area.
Dar-Ul-Hakmit (Education Center), Ferozepur Road, Lahore celebrated the International Day of Peace 2014 with Great Spirit of peace. Mrs. Marriyam Sarfraz, Director, Dar-ul-Hakmit (Education Center) welcome all the Guests, parents and students of the school. Mr. Yuel Bhatti, Principal A.B.C. For All School was the Guest of honor with other guests. She presented flower to the guests. She started the program with Peace Prayer and presents the documentary presentation on the Multimedia which was very much informative for the students and all. The students of Education Center present very touching and inspiring "Aaman ki Ashaha" Second part of the program conducted by Mr. Yuel Bhatti. He reflects the message of UN Secretary General, Ban-Ki-Moon and also explains about the theme of IDP 2014. Mr. Yuel emphasis about the work of URI and it networking in Youth, Children, women and all walks of life. It is so important that the interfaith peace and harmony mission/vision be introduced in School level as Madam Marriam doing a lot. She is really Ambassador of Peace. May God Bless her and her staff. With URI's support, AAWAAZ promotes peace in the state of Maharashtra by empowering the downtrodden, promoting human rights and stimulating local economic development.
The motto of Abhigyane Foundation is Freedom through Education. They provide stationery, books, and library facilities to children in need. They also offer them free-mind learning through educational trips, and try to make education more enjoyable. They run workshops in slum areas and orphanages, and offer workshops to physically disabled groups looking to nurture the talent of students from less economically-developed sections. They have organized workshops in leprosy centers and orphanages, and have involved the physically disabled, HIV-affected people, tribal people, deaf and dumb people, and leprosy students. They are focused on the poorest and under-privileged children. Members of this group believe education is the most powerful weapon they can use to change the world with peace and harmony.
Action Against Poverty has many vibrant initiatives to promote development and disaster management in the Punjab region of Pakistan. Our core objectives involve working for the economic and social empowerment of underprivileged communities through microcredit, community development, and leadership building.
Members of Action Against Poverty provide formal and informal and vocational training for impoverished communities. We also promote peace-building concepts, interfaith dialogue, harmonious living and cultures of peace and tolerance.
Action for Girijan Development (AGD) was initiated for the socio-economic development of tribal people. The group’s operational area is near the pilgrimage area of Bhadrachalam. It is a place for tourist attraction. The group envisages future threats to the peaceful existence of the community. Members plan to initiate an awareness campaign and training on interfaith harmony, for which the group has chosen to be equipped with URI principles through training. AGD has trained 19 Field Level Animators / Change Makers who are all from the Tribal Community. Also, AGD has identified 900 acres of government land and provided legal entitlement to both male and female farmers. The organization has trained 120 women in tailoring and garment-making, and 150 women in backyard kitchen gardening. It has organized a team of nine girls and five boys into a team called “Abhinaya Cultural Team” (ACT). It has formed 62 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the Mandal, trained parents in low cost nutritious food preparation and hygiene, and organized elected representatives to obtain 300 Old Age Pensions, 390 Widow Pensions, and 44 Physically Handicapped Pensions. It has filed 24 cases in courts of law on behalf of exploited tribal women for compensation. It has enrolled 480 dropouts into government schools and Bridge Centers, and it has trained a group of 14 women in the preparation of napkins, a helpful career skill.
India is a land of many religions. There is friction and conflict among different groups, so interfaith bridge building is very essential to keep the social fabric of the nation intact. This organization was founded in 1979. They have more than 30 years of background experiences in various social service activities. They work mainly among Hindus, Christians, Muslims and Dalits. They have 22 staff members and 45 volunteers in different areas. They focus in areas like: feminine human rights programs, vocational training, self-employment, youth development, environment protection, child welfare, child labor prevention, etc. They work for the welfare of all people irrespective of caste and creed.
Ahle Aman Society CC is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. They promote national and international initiatives that cultivate peace and harmony among diverse religious groups. Ahle Aman programs draw upon the CC’s connections with social activists and non-governmental organizations to host workshops and seminars focused on educating community members on topics such as governance, peace building, and also raising awareness about issues like water sanitation.

Our purpose is to promote harmony, peace, and interfaith dialogue by coming together for meetings, sports and religious and national holiday celebrations.
All Faiths Harmony CC organizes programming to spread awareness during major Christian and Muslim holidays, International Women's Day, and Pakistan Independence Day. Through our work, hundreds of Muslims and Christians- from teenagers and teachers, to human rights activists and political leaders- have joined together in peace and harmony.
Allama Iqbal Cooperation Circle promotes interfaith harmony in schools. We provide free educational programs, cultural and sporting activities, and medical camps in the district of Sialkot. Our core activities involve celebrating Muslim and Christian holidays like Eid, Easter, and Christmas with people of all faiths.
This group develops different programs focused on youth empowerment, social justice awareness, health education and cultural events. They have a lot of experience in multifarious work in the social welfare and humanitarian fields. They have Christian, Muslim, and Hindu members in their group and they are also working with other religious groups, which will soon be part of their circle.
They also host interfaith meetings and social activities in various sacred places of different religions. They are very keen on engaging young people in interfaith dialogues, and organize interfaith youth encounters with adults with experience in different areas. They are given the space to raise critical questions like nuclear disarmament, political division of the country, and misinterpretations of scriptures. This group has supported URI development in Bangladesh.
