We share the wisdom of our culture and we learn from the different religions and spiritual traditions. We participate in different meetings and events that have to do with the understanding among religions and spiritual traditions. We make the contribution from our vision in actions in favor of peace in the world. In 2009 and 2010 we have specially dedicated to share with children at public and private schools our cosmovision and values. They have been very receptive and their families and teachers have let us know how much this exchange has enriched them. We have also opened interreligious dialogue within indigenous communities and this has helped us (indigenous from different groups: kollas, wichis, tobas, guaranies) to be free to manifest if we had a religious affiliation together with our culture.

Also they work to enable appropriate utilization of water thereby providing solutions for preventive and promotive health care. One of their highlights is TALL, their fundraising music concert
Onkar Academy CC members are running cultural centers in various places where children and youth are the main area of focus. Attendees manifest their art, drama, and musical talents in youth outreach; many of them now serve a very prominent role in the community. In India, some young adults that are pushed to study engineering and medical sciences become very depressed at a later age. In response, CC members are providing children, as well as young adults, a platform to follow their inner calling so that they can pursue a carrier in art or music with a respect of all castes and traditions if this is their dream.

We represent many different faith traditions; all of whom have a passion for protecting our earth home. One highlight is the Caring for Creation conference held annually in October, which features environmental exhibits and workshops. Our main focus now is global warming. We educate and empower people to do what they can for the environment. Each board member has a special interest and leads their efforts in those areas. Our programs include: toxics in home and yard, how to start enviro ministry in church, basic stewardship things individuals can do, creation spirituality, energy issues, and transportation alternatives.
Our CC has organized meetings and planned discussions for the promotion of peace and harmony among the religions and creeds. We have also shared and participated in the religious programs of Bahais, Muslims, and Christians. To learn more, visit www.opdpeace.org
