50 Cooperation Circles

Label: Purpose & Activities

The Cooperation Circles that comprise the Multiregion are primarily issue-based organizations that cross regions.

Examples of issues include teaching law students about international human rights; mobilizing youth for interfaith work; promoting inter-religious peace education in 50 schools in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia; building the role of media and communications in interfaith cooperation; and developing international service programs for women’s networks.

Standing Rock Day of Interfaith Prayer

Over the weekend, a URI delegation traveled to the Oceti Sakowin Camp, the largest camp of Water Protectors at Standing Rock, to deliver a collection of prayers and support from the worldwide URI community, and to participate in a Day of Interfaith Prayer on December 4.

Standing Rock

While the massacre at Wounded Knee is out of our reach, Standing Rock is happening right now, and I believe that we as people of conscience must act so as not to stand idly by and let history repeat itself at the expense of our Indigenous sisters and brothers.
