Sheikh Adam Dhere Charity Association is a not-for-profit and nongovernmental organization that is an umbrella for a number of nongovernmental organizations in Somalia that work in humanitarian, education, peace building and human development resources. Sheikh Adam Dhere Charity Association (SADCA) believes that community cohesion, a common sense of belonging, and a willingness to work for the common good in the local and the wider community, are essential to creating a good quality of life for all in Somalia. Sheikh Adam Dhere Charity Association has been in operation since the late 1960s and has provided a learning opportunity for many people in the past three decades. The foundation was established by Sheikh Adam Dheere, who envisioned the need for a center that is both a learning center as well as a community center (Mowla’), not only for vulnerable people, but also to serve as a community focal point.

One of their highlights has been the “Golden Rule Day” event, and they are planning training for Somalia religious scholars and moalims in order to let them know about how to counter violent extremism. Sheikh Adam Dhere Charity Association (SADCA) believes in tackling the underlying conditions that generate the factors for violent armed conflicts, social inequity, and poverty and deprivation. The achievements of a fair and just society require redistribution of the nation’s wealth, equitable power sharing, and a transparent judicial and political system.

Sheikh Adam Dhere Charity Association (SADCA) rejects the use of force, intimidations, and violence as means of achieving political aims in Somalia. It also rejects all forms of corruption in political and public life. It advocates for transparency, accountability, and good governance in public and private spheres.
