Sagara CC is the first URI unit in a government school in Kerala. The school has about 1000 students who belong to various religious communities. Students usually fight on various grounds. Forty students and several staff members, who belong to different religions such as Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Dalits, have decided to form the Cooperation Circle to help bridge differences. Their intention is to create awareness among the student community with regard to interreligious understanding. They want to be a model to the seniors in fostering harmony and peace in the society. This young group is also concerned about the protection of Mother Earth, which is very vital to existence. To achieve their purpose, they have conducted training programs for students, teachers and community leaders on leadership building, skill development, nature protection, etc.

VALUE: Our concern for one another and desire for wellness of humanity and nature
