SARWADHARM means “We are one in various ways.” Poverty is causing a great threat for families in the area and this NGO has been working since 2003 in promoting education of elders and children, and empowering women so they can stop child labor and defend children´s rights. They also address environmental pollution and related issues at a local level, including protesting health hazards caused by mining companies. Sarwadharm Vichar Manch promotes the idea that people should come together to address necessary systemic change. They are now working on the Right to Information Act of the Indian government, to stand for human rights. They are taking legal steps jointly with community leaders so that they, together, speak up against illegal mining bodies. They strongly believe that together the community can achieve a peaceful and successful society for the best for all.
