Our purpose is to create and to maintain a place of consideration of the common ethics of world religions, to give an impulse of thinking in a new manner about a peaceful togetherness of all religious persuasions...

We promote the exchange of thoughts, understanding, and the peaceful coexistence of people of all world religions. The association wants to realize these aims by erecting a sacred building and organizing and celebrating Universal Worships in it. We aim to promote respect and understanding of the different religious persuasions; to create and support a meeting place for information and to exchange ideas and share reflections; to organize seminars, congresses, meditations, concerts and much more of that kind according to the purposes of the bylaws; to organize and offer spiritual welfare; and to establish a library with the Scriptures of all world religions and literature.

One of our CC’s highlights was in 2009, when we organized an ongoing series of Universal Worships in Goettingen supported by a small circle of voluntary helpers. More than 50 people took part in the last services and there was much positive resonance. Also, we are involved in a new project to create a book of interfaith wisdom with texts from different faiths about topics such as love, the meaning of life, forgiveness etc. The book will be offered to hotels - this way hotel guests will find this interfaith book, next to the New Testament, in their bedside drawer. Members of other German CCs - including the DML Bonn CC and URI Germany CC - will also contribute to this enterprise.

We dream for peace between the various religious faiths, as one step in direction of peace in the whole world. We dream of not only tolerating and paying respect to the sacred feelings and faiths of other people, but mutual praying and worshiping, to be able to experience, esteem and live unity in diversity.
