United Religions Initiative (“URI”) is committed to protecting your privacy and has created this privacy statement (“Privacy Policy”) to explain and summarize what information is being collected about you (“You”), how that information is being used, with whom it is being shared, and how to contact us if You have additional questions or concerns. Your use of the URI website (“Website”) is governed at all times by the URI Website Terms of Use. 

A. Information URI Collects. URI collects and uses information we learn from Your use of the Website, such as Your activities and preferences. We may use this collected or logged information to diagnose website technical problems, to facilitate Your use of the site, or to track aggregate traffic patterns throughout the Website. IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE YOUR REAL NAME, YOUR NAME WILL BE AVAILABLE TO AND VIEWABLE BY ANYONE USING THE WORLD WIDE WEB AND/OR USING A SEARCH ENGINE.

B. How We Use Collected Information. URI does not share Your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If You provide optional information, such as information about Your interests and hobbies, URI may use this information on an aggregate basis to enable us to better understand our users, and improve our Website and Services. URI may be required to disclose Your personal information if it: (i) believes it is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process (such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, etc.) or other legal requirements of any governmental authority; (ii) would potentially mitigate URI’s liability in an actual or potential lawsuit; (iii) is otherwise necessary to protect URI’s rights or property; or (iv) is necessary protect the interest of other users of our Website. We may permanently store any personal information provided by You via such registration process.

URI does not knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without parental consent. If URI does receive information (with parental consent) from users under the age of 13, URI will never voluntarily share their personally identifiable information with third parties, regardless of their stated preference given at registration.

C. Links to Third Party Websites; Advertisements; Cookies. This Website may contain links to third-party sites, however, please be aware that URI is not responsible for and cannot control the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage You to read the privacy policies for these other sites, as they may differ from URI’s.

URI's Website may use cookies to monitor traffic flow, patterns of travel within and through the sites, and otherwise improve URI’s ability to improve the Website and Services. Cookies are a standard Internet technology that allows us to both store and retrieve login information on a user's system. If a user accepts a URI cookie, but would later like to remove it from his or her computer, he or she can just remove it from their browser. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by URI and does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by any of its advertisers.

D. Email Opt Out. If you provide your email address to URI, URI may send you email communications. When sending emails, URI will try to provide You with an easy and convenient way to notify us if You would not like further similar communications.
