URI Sri Lanka Trincomalee Cooperation Circle Celebrated a colorful event for URI’s 17th Anniversary on 19/07/2017 July 2017 with religious leaders and members. All the religions present shared their own religious perspectives on environmental care.

Rev. Subbramaniyam Sharma Gurukkal, representing the Hindu community, shared his experience under the theme “What Hinduism Says About Environmental Care” with other interfaith members. He said he and his community want to build a relationship with nature.

Over 50 interfaith URI members participated in the event. It was great to see all people of different faiths together. I would like to thank the Trincomalee Cooperation Circle Coordinator, Mr. Velmurugu Jeewaraj, and URI’s supporters, for planning this great event.

With best,

Noor Haseema.

Coordinator, URI Sri Lanka Head Office
