After witnessing the conditions in poor communities in Australia and India, Pauline Crosbie used her background in arts and education to found the Bumblebee Creative Social Enterprise (Bumblebee Global Renewal Projects Cooperation Circle.) Bumblebee Foundation’s mission is to “connect people in a life-giving and fun process, filled with color and joy, that builds community and sustains it while creating a path forward to help others.”

After the devastating earthquakes in Nepal, Bumblebee reached out to other Cooperation Circles and put together a plan to help the survivors rebuild their lives. Bumblebee members are active in creating and promoting aid projects around the world, in countries including Somalia, Kenya, Liberia, Cambodia, and Chile. Their work includes feeding impoverished children and families, rebuilding war-torn zones, igniting people’s creativity, and leading sustainable enterprises.

In this photo, Ahmed Ahmed paints a colorful and cheerful message on a container of donations to be sent to Somalia.
