International Women’s Day in New Delhi

Sadanand - International Women’s Day in New Delhi

Greetings for the day!

I wish you a very Happy Women's Day.

UNITED RELIGIONS INITIATIVE (URI) celebrated the International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2016, at Gandhi Peace Foundation in New Delhi.

The chief guest, Miss Sharmista Mukherjee, gave her presence on this occasion and inspired all with her wonderful speech. She spoke of the ratio of women to men presidents all over the world. There are fewer women presidents than men. She also said that personal taste is a choice; a woman’s way of dressing, choosing a professional career, and freedom should be there with certain values.

Honorable guest Ms. Chennamma spoke of the power of spirituality, which women have to understand to lead a meaningful life to portray our culture nationally and globally. She said to remember all our great people who have sacrificed their lives to give freedom to India.

I am also glad to inform that we had, as chief guests, the daughter of the president of India, and also an Indian freedom fighter.
