Environment Day Campaign – URI West India

CC’s and URI Youth Ambassador launched their 3 days city level campaign from 18th to 20th June, 2017. It began with Tree Plantation Program with the students and teachers from Apollo International School. URI Youth Ambassadors had an interactive session with kids and conveyed URI’s role in saving Mother Earth. The verses from different religious scripture were shared with students.

The CC’s and Youth Ambassador came out with a creative idea of naming trees. The trees planted by the group of students were asked to name the trees. For example they named the trees as Peace, Compassion, Justice, Love etc. Trees were tagged and these values will help student to spread message of Peace and Love in their school campus.

Most of them were concerned about water wastage and saving trees. On the third day these paintings were used as placard during the Cycle Rally. 40 Youth joined Cycle Rally from Sabarmati River Front. The place where Mahatma Gandhi resided and from there he launched Non-Violence Movement. These youth carried paintings to send messages in the community.
