Many young girls are exposed to so many factors that prevent their education, like sexual abuse, early marriages, home chores, etc. It was highlighted that we need to put a lot of effort into helping a girl fulfil her ambitions. If we educate a girl, we educate the nation, and we reduce the illiteracy level in our nation.

The schools which were present were as follows: St Mary’s Primary as a host, Lulindo Primary and Nthora Primary.

The event was spiced up with different performances in line with the theme. These included drama, music, and poems by the children, dances by the children, a women’s dance called Ndolo, and a men’s dance called Malipenga.
