Give a warm welcome to the newest groups to join the United Religions Initiative network. Our network has now grown to 920 URI Cooperation Circles in 104 countries!

Junior Chamber International Of Djibouti (Djibouti Ville, Djibouti)

Islam is the predominant religion in Djibouti, although there are other religious communities and diversity is highly respected. Members of Junior Chamber International (JCI) believe that promoting dialogue among these different communities is important to prevent misunderstandings. They work with youth to create awareness on the need to set up a national code of conduct to further enhance the peaceful coexistence, harmony and mutual respect among followers of Islam and Christian in Djibouti. Women and Girl Child Rescue and Development Initiative (Plateau State, Nigeria)

Women and Girl Child Rescue and Development Initiative (WGRDI) is a Nigeria-based NGO committed to grassroots development and peace-building, established in the year 2013. The organization was formed in response to violent crises in Plateau State. It aims to contribute and make an impact in society by working with communities through interfaith peace dialogues to promote peace and reconciliation, unity and love. Learn more.

My Perch (Uttar Pradesh, India)

Barola is one of the 81 villages in Noida where there is a vast migrant population from different regions of the country. Men and women in this village add significantly to the growth and prosperity of this industrial town. Bogged by the daily grind of parental routines, it is the children who become the victim of their family’s out-migration. They live a very tough life: they go to school, do part-time jobs, look after their siblings and witness a lot of abuse at home, in school and in the workplace. My Perch is a space run and managed by kids where they receive love and warmth, and where they speak their mind, share their ideas and imagination, and decide the kind of activities they want to develop. BIRDS Organization has been engaged in the field of development since 1995. BIRDS Organization’s operational area consists of families from all three major religions in the area: Hindu, Muslim, and Christian. Women Development Society (Andhra Pradesh, India)

Women Development Society (WDS) is a voluntary organization engaged in the sustainable development of the area of Gurramkonda Block of Chitoor District, where there are three main religious groups living together. The area is comprised of 55% Hindus, 30% Muslims and 15% Christians. The literacy ratio is 65%, in which the female literacy rate is 25%. In the area, 40% of the people are living below the poverty line. Members serve the community without discrimination against caste, creed, religious faith, etc. and help to establish and maintain peace, build interfaith bridges and communal harmony. Learn more.

Angel Peace Foundation (Rajasthan, India)

Angel Peace Foundation is a group formed by youth who have been actively engaged in the areas of Education, Poverty Alleviation, Indigenous Rights, the Environment, Human Rights and Interfaith Harmony. They are based in Jaipur, Rajasthan and engage in peace-building activities there, providing quality education in the community where they serve. Learn more.
