Inter Religious Initiative for Health Environment & Child Development Cooperation Circle-Kalmunai

This group represents a multi-ethnic community in Kalmunai where there is frequent ethnic tension. In this environment, members have been developing peace-building activities involving different religious groups for the past couple of years. The response from the public has been positive. The leaders of this group believe that, through the application and adoption of URI preamble, principle and purpose in their objectives, they will be able to increase the impact in peace-building and communal harmony among the four main religious communities.
