The mission of International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD) is to bridge religious considerations with the practice of international politics in support of peacebuilding.
ICRD and URI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 9, 2019, to provide a framework of cooperation within which URI and ICRD will cooperate in areas of common interest and work together towards shared goals. Specifically, the objectives of the MOU are: (1) to promote cultures of peace, justice, mutual understanding and respect, and (2) to promote dialogue among people of the world’s religious, spiritual and indigenous traditions. The goal of the work together is to build sustainable peace by providing URI Cooperation Circles including but not limited to those working in peacebuilding and conflict transformation, with the tools they may need to accomplish their aims.
