Take Action

• Learn from the Media section on the URI blog.

• Be a URI social media ambassador by reposting, retweeting and blogging about URI.

• Write a piece for the URI blog. If interested, contact the URI Communications Team, at [email protected].

• Explore URI events about media within the URI network.

• Visit URI Global Campaigns about international days of celebration and action (e.g., World Press Freedom Day, World Television Day, World Radio Day, and International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists). 

• Volunteer with a local media outlet to highlight peacebuilding initiatives.

• Participate in or host a film screening. Some examples of films:

  • The Wanted 18
  • The Power of Story (URI’s Visionaries episode)
     
• Host conversations with your friends about media’s impact on the work of peacebuilding and create a plan to make a change.
