Regional Coordinator for URI-Asia: India, North and West zones
Niti Deoliya’s life journey has been shaped by her deep commitment to social justice and her family’s legacy, rooted in India’s freedom struggle. She has rich experience with the United Nations (Geneva, Switzerland) and at the grassroots organizations. She has played a pivotal role in fostering strategic partnerships, establishing trade linkages, creating livelihood initiatives, implementing local policies, and supporting leadership and management of cooperatives, and member based associations. Her work spans across Europe, rural tribal interiors of India, Cambodia, East and West Africa.
Niti is also an arts-based therapy practitioner. She facilitates one-on-one therapy sessions, and group workshops to enhance psycho-social support to individuals, youth, women, vulnerable communities and organizations. Her therapy sessions channelize creativity, local heritage, and wisdom of the groups to create safe spaces for connection, learning and growing together.
Niti is a nature lover. She could be found spotting birds, playing under waterfalls, hugging trees, or connecting with the rocks around and ground beneath. She also enjoys being a Reiki and Theta healing practitioner.
