Cooperation Circle Application

The United Religions Initiative (URI) welcomes your interest. If your group or organization wishes to apply for membership, please read and reflect upon the URI Vision and Mission Statements, URI's Preamble, Purpose and Principles, and the Rights and Responsibilities of URI Members.

Application for Membership

Cooperation Circle (CC) members accept the rights and responsibilities of membership and share ownership and leadership of URI. They initiate interfaith actions, participate in regular communication, give and receive mutual support, and select Trustees to the Global Council. Each CC helps to bring about enduring daily interfaith cooperation around the world in its own way.

If your group is in alignment with URI, and would like to make a commitment to the work, please read the entire application, and submit the application forms.

Once this information has been received, your regional coordinator will schedule an interview with you. The purpose of this interview is for applicants to more deeply understand the nature of URI, and for us to fully comprehend your group’s purpose, activities and plans for the future. Your application, the notes from the interview, and a recommendation by the regional coordinator are reviewed by a committee comprised of URI Trustees. This committee typically meets on the second Wednesday of every month. We will contact applicants regarding the status of their application following each meeting. If you have any questions please contact your Regional Coordinator or the CC Global Support Coordinator Maria Crespo, at cc@uri.org.
