Cooperation Circle in Pakistan provides aid to flood victims

12 August 2010

We are helping in District Rajan Pur, DG Khan, Layyah, Muzafer Garh and Rahim Yar Khan with humanitarian intervention. Twenty million people have now been affected by the floods. Thousands are homeless and living under the open sky. Action Against Poverty has decided to intervene by setting up medical camps to provide free medicines to flood victims where water born diseases have broken out. AAP will also offer food, shelter and WASH (Water and Sanitation Sectors). We have also decided that we will continue to work after the floods, in the reconstruction phase, subject to the results of the analysis which will be conducted after the relief operation.

AAP CC is going to open its facilities beginning Sunday 15 August with medical camps. We have also set up a relief camp in Multan to support the flood victims.

We will keep you updated.
