Friendship through Raksha Bandhan

Namaste and Greetings! I send you all the very special ribbon to tie for our special bonding as it calls Raksha ( Ribbon for Protection) and Bandhan means Tie. So this day lets tie a ribbon for each other protection.

We observed this day (today the 13th August) in our region at various places, Almost all the CCs were engaged in various social activities spending the day with special one to celebrate a special relationship for protection against all challenges and for promoting a better community of discrimination free.

I visited 5 villages during the all day

The team attended:

1. Leprosy colony, rehabilitation center where we distributed sweets, chocolates and ribbon among them and listen to their various challenges, and trying to raise their need to the local government level.

2. The Very special village where Hindus and Muslims live next to each other, we celebrated Raksha Bandhan among the children there.

3. We went to a special Tribal area and created a human chain bonding at the very sacred site from where then thousand of tribal freedom fighters took the vows to fight against British for freedom

4. Then we went to meet our tribal Musicians, and meet the new generation who are going under training for art and culture, this community elders came to Mayapur to perform at URI global Assembly.

5. We ended our day at a very peaceful Ashram where they run a vocational training school ( nursing training) and this ashram also runs to unite and bridge cultures an faiths together to sustain a peaceful and harmonious society.

We had an amazing day that our region will always treasure.
