Action for Children's Home

25 October 2011

Children's home of my town is in a very bad state.  Situation those children are in is hard itself, and bad financial state of the children's home isn't making their situation any easier.

Finances of the orphanage is not something our young CC can help with, but interaction with the community is something we can improve.

For a start we designed a small project where high school students will be able to see how their peers in the orphanage live, and hopefully help them. We wanted this project to be simple but effective, so we decided to let students from various high schools in our town donate clothes and other supplies they think are necessary. After a few days time, we will collect the donations and hand them to the children's home.

Aim of this action is to involve more people into helping those children. If we succeed, both sides will benefit. Students will gain some more respect to family they have and hopefully they'll gain a habit of giving and sharing with those in need, and children in the orphanage will for a moment feel warmth from the community.
