URI Youth Ambassador elected as Central Working Committee Member for National Youth CSO Code of Conduct Project

 

The International Republican Institute (IRI) invited Ogaga E. Maxwell one of the URI Youth Ambassador for Africa 2011 as a participant at the Youth Civil Society Organization’s (CSO) Code of Conduct Strategy Meeting.

 As part of IRI continuing support for youth development, inclusion and participation in Nigeria’s democratic processes, IRI hosted youth strategy meeting to begin the process of developing a Youth CSO Code Conduct to serve as a youth self regulatory tool with mutually accepted standards and sanctions recognized by government for the improved operation of youth groups to promote professionalism, youth cooperation, peace and development.

 

The meeting took place at Roban Hotels, Enugu State, Nigeria, at the end of the deliberations which was very fruitful, Maxwell and four others were selected as part of the central working committee to see to it that the project is well executed nationally.

This project has the capacity to boost the image of Nigerian Youth CSO’s positively and increase the ethical conducts to aid rapid development.
