IYAN service project 11-121.JPG

The Bay Area IYAN (Interfaith Young Adult Network) hosted our first community service project on Saturday, November 12, at the Excelsior Community Food Pantry, located at the Mission Bay Community Church. The service program went from 10 am to 1 pm and a small but decidated group of interfaith young people from the network showed up to serve the community. We were able to sort and distribute healthy, fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains to almost 400 members of the South San Francisco community. Before the distribution started, we were able to showcase our different faiths and introduce the regular volunteers to URI, SFIC and TBFF. It was an enriching multi-cultural and interfaith experience for everyone involved.
