Sharing URI with the Ta'leef Collective

14 November 2011

I attended Ta'leef Collective's weekly Sunday Night Class held in Fremont from 7:30 to 9 pm. The class is taught by Founding Director, Usama Canon, and attracts a mixed-aged (but mostly young) crowd of about a hundred people every week. URI was honored at the end when Ustadh Canon led the group in prayer and I was given a few minutes to explain the work of URI and the point of intersection and collaboration with Ta'leef. The Collective has created a unique space for discussion and spirituality, and YLP hopes to host interfaith programming in their facility.

Coming up: "Solidaritea" at the Baha'i Center in San Francisco on Wednesday, November 16th.
