On November 20th, CC's and Affiliates gathered in Southern California for the 2nd Annual URI BioRegional event. Members of SARAH and OCICE joined members of the Spiritual Salon in Los Angeles to co-chair the West Coast Premiere of the film How to Boil a Frog at Chapman University.

Leadership and activists in the field of Interfaith, environmental and humanitarian efforts were also invited to meet, develop new relationships, learn of each other's initiatives and ultimately focus on our common value of creating a more sustainable Earth. The entire community was engaged and responded in both attendance and their sponsorship. (List below).

Beginning with introductions and information about the URI, the film followed by a panel Q & A with filmmakers Jon Cooksey and Vandy Savage, joined by Debbie Cook, Past Mayor of Huntington Beach, renown for her environmental efforts in Huntington Beach.

We then moved into the extraordinary Fish Interfaith Center across campus. We invited folks to share "one thing they do on a daily basis to ensure a sustainable environment" on large paper which will be posted soon on OCICE and SARAH's websites.

Also on loan from Temple Beth Sholom was the Traveling Hope Chest where we were encouraged to add our personal "hope" for interfaith peace on a card and add to the collection of cards that have been collected at events all over Orange County since 9/11/11.

Blue Marbles, from www.bluemarbles.org were given out to remind us all of our responsibility to Grandmother Ocean, Earth, and all her Inhabitants.

Co-Sponsors include SARAH, OCICE, Spiritual Salons, OC Interfaith Youth Council, Aldersgate United Methodist Environmental Ministries, Sierra Club of OC, Women of Spirit and Faith, Sacred Seasons Center, I Am Jerusalem, St. Mark Pres.
