The daylong session – led by the Rev. Kalyan Kumar Kisku, subregional coordinator Biswadeb Chakraborty and Vrajapti Prabhu – included a discussion of plans for URI in India, and how sponsors of local initiatives can help promote the organization at a national level.

Members also addressed the ongoing trustee selection process, and ways in which the various CCs can improve communication with each other.

The result was a meeting filled with warm feelings in hot weather, Chakraborty said.

“At the end, we had enough ice cream to cool off,” Chakraborty said. “We joined hands together to raise our voices (and declare) that ‘We shall overcome.’ ”
