Chakraborty Chosen as URI’s India National Team Coordinator

27 July 2012

Mr. Chakraborty has served URI with skill and exuberance for more than 12 years as a CC leader, musician and coordinator for India’s East Zone.  He recently completed graduate studies in organizational management.

“My Masters’ degree in management has ignited an even bigger flare to work with URI on organizational strategies,” Mr. Chakraborty said.  “There is a definite need to integrate the sub-zones through strategic actions.  Creating a national platform will amplify local voices and provide bridges of collective actions across India and globally.”

In addition to his position as India National Team Coordinator, Mr. Chakraborty will continue in his role as India East Zone coordinator.

“On behalf of URI Pakistan and on my own behalf, I congratulate you as the India National Team Coordinator,” said the Rev. James Channan, URI’s Regional Coordinator for Pakistan.  “With your able leadership, URI in India and Asia will further spread its message of peace, harmony and reconciliation.”
