URI Welcomes New CC to India's South Zone

23 January 2013

Dear URI Cooperation Circles,

2013 starts with mixed emotions: the joy of welcoming a new Cooperation Circle in India’s South Zone, a vibrant URI community and good news about our Cooperation Circles working hard around the world, as well as the shocking loss of Irfan Ali.  Our Youth Leader in Pakistan gave his life while making URI’s vision a reality among his brothers and sisters in Quetta. The URI community now includes 569 Cooperation Circles in 83 countries.

 ASIA - Coimbatore CC

Coimbatore Cooperation Circle is located in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. Members of this group have volunteered extensively with local community organizations to develop the industrial city of Coimbatore. They have participated in offering free medical and eye clinics; provided career counseling and guidance at no cost; and set up palliative care programs. There are currently only two CCs in the state of Tamil Nadu. Members of this new CC will actively encourage interfaith dialogue, extending the reach of URI further into southern India.

May Peace prevail on Earth!

If you wish to extend your warm wishes to this new group, please click on the link for its CC page.

With love,

Maria Crespo
