CELEBRATE International Women’s Day March 8!

6 March 2014

Saturday, March 8,  is International Women’s Day, a global celebration and appreciation of the social, political, economic achievements of women around the world -  and the need for vigilance to continue pursuing them.

The URI Women’s MCC – part of the Multi-region, and the URI Women’s Pilot Program invite you let your faith traditions inspire you to create more positive change in the communities you lead.  We encourage you to celebrate International Women’s Day with your CC’s in appreciation of the significant role of women in building our societies.

The URI Women’s Initiative composed of Despina Namwembe in Africa, Qutub Jahan in India, Sr. Sabina in Pakistan, and Nour Nahleh in MENA regrion are all preparing events in their areas.  Below is a photo of a meeting last week to prepare for IWD in Shirwall, India, where Elana was the guest of Qutub.

We  look forward to hearing about your plans and reports as we join globally to recognize women and girls’ accomplishments worldwide.

 Love,

 Elana Rozenman
