As Egypt steps into her future, the 6th CARAVAN Exhibition of Visual Art will open in Cairo on 17 June 2014 at the Museum of Modern Art on the Cairo Opera Grounds, and then "caravan" for exhibition to the renowned National Cathedral in Washington D.C., then on to New York City at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world.
The 2014 CARAVAN exhibition will result in an unprecedented gathering of renowned Egyptian and Western artists coming together to use art as a bridge for intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. Through the sponsorship of SODIC in Egypt the theme for this year’s CARAVAN exhibition, “AMEN-A Prayer for the World,” is an aspirational expression of hope and goodwill coming “out of Egypt” for the peoples of the Middle East and the rest of the world.
