Celebrating the International Day of Peace: Highlighting the Call for Peace in Religious Scriptures

On the 21st of September 2015, a number of Jordanian URI folks gathered in the URI Office in Amman to honor the International Day of Peace by reciting and reflecting on verses that call for Peace in Holy Scriptures. Naya Cooperation Circle combined verses about peace, justice, unity, respect, and equality from different religious scriptures and we recited them.

Then we reflected on these verses, sharing our understanding and highlighting the lessons behind each verse. Such an exercise revealed how close we are to each other and how God created us to help each other and live together in peace and harmony. Also, we discussed how we can live God's teachings starting by ourselves and families.
In love and peace,
