St. Xavier's Women's College Addresses Waste Problems With Street Performances

13 December 2017

Members of St. Xavier's Women's College Cooperation Circle perform a street play to raise awareness about waste issues, proper disposal of waste, recycling and collective responsibility.

Members of St. Xavier's Women's College CC shared one of their street performances aimed at raising awareness about environmental problems to their peers and community. The performance was in-depth and well coordinated, the costumes incorporated reused materials to illustrate the importance of recycling.

The Cooperation Circle determines priority issues as a group, with each member having equal input. They focus on a variety of social issues in addition to the environment. One student in the CC is a radio jockey in Ahmedabad and frequency broadcasts on issues of waste, recycling and the issues important to her CC.
