On November 1, URI Southern Africa Regional Coordinator, Karen Barensché, delivered a short speech about vegetarianism that included mention of Compassion For All Living Beings, a Multiregion CC dedicated to animal rights. They were a small group that gathered at the Ubunru Meci Spa centre under a magnificent ancient Wild Focus tree. They said an interfaith prayer and then Ian McFarlane shared a personal message from Dr. Will Tuttle, author of the The World Peace Diet, on the role veganism is a positive response to climate change.

After closing remarks by other attendees, an organic vegan feast was enjoyed by all as they sat under the giant old tree discussing their new-found awareness of vegan diets and how to spread awareness.
