We are grateful for who she was, the work she did and the vision she carried. Below are a few words of memory from people who knew Tsaniti. Memoriam - Janet WindWalker Jones (Tsaniti)

"Today, I weep for the loss of my friend, Janet "Windwalker" Jones, a storyteller, peaceworker and peacewalker, who strengthened my walk, too. She stood with me on so many levels... the work we did in United Religions Initiative, the yearly International Day of Peace. We were working to create a virtual 'Elders in Partnership' for the young people. Her heart stopped, but her heart work hasn't and won't."

"Janet Windwalker held a beautiful, loving space for us at the Southeast Regional Conference. I’m so grateful we had the opportunity to be with her and enjoy her presence."

Memoriam - Janet WindWalker Jones (Tsaniti)

"I had the privilege of being with Tsaniti in-person in October for the URI Southeast Gathering. She was an absolute JOY to have with there. She brought such a kind, calm and grounded presence to our gathering - not to mention the wisdom that came when she opened her mouth. My fondest memory of her was from the talent show when she literally transformed into a character as she performed a few songs for us! At the end of the gathering, she pulled me aside and thanked me for everything. She gave me some special pieces of wisdom, which I've cherished until now and will continue to do so in her absence. It is people like Tsaniti who make URI what it is and who inspire me to keep carrying on this work."
