Within the framework of the International Women's Day, the village of Veracruz, located in the city of Panama, invited Mujeres Kunas Artesanas (Mukua) Cooperation Circle to participate in a discussion session called the Empowerment of Women.
In this conversation, our colleague Fany Ávila was honored and recognized as a woman who has fought for traditional and artisan education for many years, and who has been persistent in transferring her ancestral wisdom to the children and youth of her community.
On March 8, she did not go unnoticed in Veracruz, where she recognized valuable women who, through their abilities, have made great contributions to our community and who, through their work, have represented us nationally and internationally. Recognizing the contribution made by Panama women of yesterday allows us to understand that today we occupy the same space with different roles, and we assume responsibilities from the inheritance left to us by our ancestors.
