Giving the Gift of Face Masks to Police and Others in India

Abhigyane Foundation is a URI member group in Ghaziabad, India, where face masks to slow the spread of coronavirus are often not available in the market. So members made washable face masks on their own and distributed them to police, bank employees, and petrol pump workers, as well as to local community members.

Because the police are always on duty and do not get much time to have the masks decontaminated or replaced, members supplied them with a large quantity of washable and reusable masks. "They're working hard for us. So, it's our responsibility," wrote a group member in their Facebook post.
