In September 2022, URI launched the URI Youth Seed Grant Initiative to support eight projects across the network with $500 each. The Seed Grant continued into 2024 with 8 Cooperation Circles (CCs) benefiting from this grant.
The Seed Grant Initiative aimed to:
- Contribute to the goal of the URI network by ensuring CCs are collaborating and using the benefits of the network to strengthen their work in local communities
- Contribute to the goals of youth engagement in URI, by encouraging youth-led projects that ensure the meaningful inclusion and leadership of young people
- Contribute to the purpose of URI, by actively supporting projects that are demonstrating this purpose at a local grassroots level.
