Members of the Roots CC visited the home of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the “Father of Pakistan,” as part of an interfaith journey that demonstrated a commitment to peace.

Sabine Lichtenfels, co-founder of the peace research village Tamera, initiated the Global GRACE Day in 2005 during her first GRACE pilgrimage through Israel and Palestine. Global GRACE Day is a day of the gentle revolution, of meditation and actions in the name of GRACE. 
Dieter Duhm, partner of Sabine Lichtenfels and initiator of Tamera, wrote a beautiful text for this year's Global Grace Day. Members of URI Pakistan gathered on the streets of Lahore Saturday to offer prayers for the recovery of 14-year-old peace activist Malala Yousufzai.

On the 28th September members of cooperation circles of United Religions Initiative Bangladesh meet to explore "Reconciiation and Global Unity". For the past few years we have been focusing to strengthen the interfaith network in Bangladesh to connect local activities with URI global platform.

Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights (PCSW&HR) an active Cooperation Circle (CC) of United Religions Initiatives (URI) in Pakistan  observe the International Day of Peace on 27th^t September 2012,  and convention & workshop on “ Role of Women for Sustainable Peace for Sustainable Future” was organized to celebrate the International day of Peace 2012. 

More than 500 people took part in a celebration of the International Day of Peace hosted by the Southeast Asia-Pacific Region in Taguig City, the Philippines.

URI’s founder and President, the Right Rev. William E. Swing, is involved in two new ventures – a graduate class and an online television show.

The Rev. Ari van Buuren, a trustee of URI’s Global Council and chair of the steering committee for URI Netherlands, has been awarded membership in the Order of Orange-Nassau by Queen Beatrix.

Kiran Bali, chair of URI’s Global Council, hosted an interfaith celebration in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire to celebrate the International Day of Peace. 

In the wake of the Sept. 11, 2012 protests in Egypt and Libya, members of URI’s Multiregion discussed interfaith dialogue, diversity and tolerance at a series of events in Alexandria, Egypt.
