Water – and its capacity to sustain life – took center stage at a special presentation by URI members at Rio+20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

The notion that global climate change is not merely “an inconvenient truth” was at the heart of an interfaith conference on the environment held in Jerusalem March 19.

Fourteen new Cooperation Circles have joined URI since March of 2012, bringing the total number of CCs to 544.

The Halki Summit was a gathering of environmental and religious leaders in Turkey, at the Holy Theological School of Halki, hosted by Ecumenical Patriach Bartholomew.

I recently took a trip to Dharmsala, Himachal Pradesh, the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to attend his teachings to the Indian public.

They belong to three different regions: Africa, Europe and North America. All of them are already doing outstanding work. The new CC in Hungary is the first in that country. With its incorporation URI is now in 80 countries
