Hamara Aadhar works to eradicate illiteracy. Through providing training, members intend to reduce poverty and improve the economic status of individuals making it easier for them to engage in income generation activities. They are also looking forward to improve the health status of members of the communities through health education, environmental cleanliness, and increasing access to primary health care centers in remote villages. Members of Hamara Aadhar organize women into self-help groups and develop their leadership skills for them to take decisions at personal and social levels. They are also inculcating the habit of thrift (savings) and credit among target groups.
