Research and Empowerment Organization – REO is working to stop violence against ethnic minorities, and providing leadership training to youth so that they can address social challenges and become human rights defenders. It was formed in 2010 to protect women, especially those that had been tortured or raped, helping them to defend their rights as they reintegrated into society. This is how the group became more involved in various social issues, including building interfaith relationships. REO members organize seminars, youth camps, blood donation camps, and empowerment for girl rape victims, including giving them sewing machines to achieve independent careers. They also have an environmental awareness program, they conduct tree plantings, and provide information to the masses on better practices to stop environmental degradation. They publish news bulletins and circulate important messages for motivation and inspiration. REO has been working in peacebuilding and for humanity, not only in Bangladesh, but also in Nepal and Bali, and they are trying to spread their activities in Sri Lanka.
Our group works for humanity and empowerment of women in Bangladesh and other countries in Asia.
We promote religious harmony and help create a violence-free world.
