Our purpose is to teach young people tolerance and understanding. To promote greater knowledge and understanding of different religious traditions through personal contacts and experiences.

Al-Karma and CIDT offers internships to Egyptian and Western students to work on papers on interreligious understanding for publication in the electronic magazine Arab-West Report (AWR). AWR was established in 1997 with the specific goal of fostering better understanding of the Arab world and also showing how polemics and biased media reporting can negatively impact understanding on each side of the Arab-West and Muslim-non-Muslim divide. Members of the CC are encouraged to contribute to the forum of the Electronic Network for Arab- West Understanding (ENAWU) on issues related to interreligious understanding (www.enawu.org).

We dream of teaching young people tolerance and understanding of different religious traditions, not through abstract learning, but through personal contacts and experiences.
