Work Together in Your Community

Ready to get started? Join others locally (or around the world through the URI Multiregion) by working side-by-side with others of different faiths as you improve your community together.

If there isn't already a URI Cooperation Circle in your area that is working on the issues that mean the most to you, you can create a Cooperation Circle.

Create a Cooperation Circle

If you want to do interfaith peacebuilding work and there isn’t already an active group in your community, you can start one and become a member of URI's global network!

A URI Cooperation Circle is a self-organizing group of at least seven members who follow three or more faith traditions—including atheists and agnostics. These groups can take any kind of action to build peace within their communities. They can share perspectives from different traditions; offer humanitarian relief; organize music festivals; clean rivers; offer hospice counseling; develop educational programs; create opportunities for intercultural encounters and interfaith reflection, and a host of other activities. What types of action does your community need most?

If you’re already a member of a group or organization whose work is aligned with URI's Preamble, Purpose and Principles, you can encourage that group to apply to become a URI Cooperation Circle. Joining a strong, worldwide network offers many benefits for grassroots groups.
