Planned Giving

Leave a Legacy of Peace

A legacy of peace and justice for our children and grandchildren is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Please consider a planned gift through your Will, Estate Plan or Charitable Trust to help URI continue building inter-faith cooperation for a better world.

Gift planning is finding ways to make charitable gifts now or after your lifetime while enjoying financial benefits for yourself. Planned gifts are sometimes referred to as "stop-and-think" gifts because they require some planning and, often, help from your professional advisors. Unlike cash donations, they are typically made from assets in your estate rather than disposable income.

The most common planned gift is a bequest in your will or living trust. Other planned gifts include:

  •     A charitable gift annuity
  •     A charitable remainder trust
  •     A charitable lead trust
  •     An endowment fund
  •     Retirement plan assets
  •     Life insurance policies

URI is now in the position to put into action and empower more effectively these diverse groups of individuals that make up the Cooperation Circles, equipping them to transform their communities and the world with the resources needed and the ability to identify best practices and key lessons through this extensive network. Your commitment to URI is an enduring investment in peace and justice for our fractured world, and we would be very glad to know about a planned gift or help you to create one.
