Mid Hudson Valley CC members Betsy Stang and Linda Lauretta traveled to Florida to attend teachings and ceremony conducted by Apollinario Chile Pixtun (Tata).  Tata spoke on Thursday evening on "Demystifying 2012."  He outlined the Mayan Prophecies of Seven Suns each lasting seven civilizations to allay fears of the 'world's ending' in 2012.  He stressed the importance of attending to our Earth's waters, which are suffering from the many harmful acts of human hands.  With much love and caring for Mother Earth, he implored us to "sing to the water" in much the same way Dr. Emoto  beckons us to pray and speak lovingly to her.

On Saturday, Tata led a fire ceremony in the beautiful Tumoka State Park.  All were invited to make offerings to the fire and again the messages included caring for the waters.  A second message described the rise of women in all aspects of leadership and a call for men to support women in this effort.  The ceremony was followed by the combined music of many traditions and a surprise visit by a family of dolphins.  The teachings from these proceedings continue to reveal themselves in how best to assist the healing of our precious oceans and water sources.  May the wisdom of caring for all aspects of our planet spread to all and May we all Know Peace.
