Greetings of peace and blessing from URI-Africa.

It is my great pleasure to inform you that an active civil society from Mainland China is going to join the URI family. This inclusion will mark the 95th country to join the URI worldwide family. The name of the organization is Qiaology Institute on Dialogue of Civilizations.

I met with the President and External Relation Director of the organization in Greece, on the occasion of the World Public Forum on Dialogue of Civilizations, which was held in 2015. I introduced them to URI at that point. Since then, we have been communicating, and now we have finalized the URI Cooperation Circle application form along with all the other documents for the organization to be the first official URI Cooperation Circle member from Mainland China.

As the URI United Nations leadership team, we have been discussing on how to bring on board Mainland China to the URI family, and I have been working on this for some time now as part of our outreach mechanism.

Qiaology Institute on Dialogue of Civilizations has 250 members from Confuciusm, Taoism, Buddhism, Muslim and Christian faith traditions. The purpose of the organization is to promote dialogue among different cultures and religions within China, and between China and the rest of the world.

The organization will be a great asset in building bridges for URI to reach out to many people and organizations in Mainland China.

May Peace, Compassion and the Golden Rule Prevail on Earth.

In Peace and Gratitude,

Mussie Hailu
