PCSW&HR’s delegation meets with URI United Nations

A PCSW&HR’s delegation headed by Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori Chairman Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights called on Mr. Masood Khan, Permanent Representative of Pakistan, at United Nation at Pakistan Mission New York on 1stNovember 2013.  The delegation was comprised on the following worthy members:

  2. Mr. Mansoor Ahmed Executive Director Pakistan Council for Social for Social Welfare & Human Rights.
  3. Ms. Sharon Hamilton-Getz, Chairperson NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns- NY at the United Nations.
  4. Ms. Monica Willard United Religions Initiative United Nations NGO Representative.
  5. Ms. Audrey E Citagawa American Journalist and Anchor person of Voice of America

While talking with delegation, Mr. Masood Khan said that Pakistan has paid a lot of sacrifices in war against terrorism & extremism to secure International peace and also bearing lot of human and properties losses in the war against terrorism and extremism. He said that they will play their role for the eradication of poverty from Pakistan, we will be required a minor help from entire world to bring the major change. He also said that to promote the interfaith harmony at global level we would have to increase the zeal of tolerance.

Pakistan will continue to play its role for  peace and interfaith harmony at United Nation and for this purpose the role of NGOs will be more strengthen and NGOs will also be provided the all necessary assistance and support. Mr. Khan also said that all girls of Pakistan love peace like Malala Yousfzai. Pakistani Government and people will continue to play their role for peace and interfaith harmony.

While talking on this occasion, Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori Chairman PCSW&HR said that Islam is a religion of peace and justice, and teaches us the respect of all religions and their followers and provides full protection to the minorities in Islamic state and there is no room for the blood shedding and prejudice with non Muslims in the name of religions.

He also said that by promoting interfaith & intercultural harmony, social & religious tolerance, self respect we may eliminate the terrorism and extremism from Pakistan. He also said that this is good time to fight against the mindset of extremism and terrorism in Pakistan with the strengthen of mutual relations, equality and self respect of each other’s and as well as to sensitize and motivate the Pakistani youth and students against the mindset of extremism and terrorism to create the culture of peace, equality, justice and human rights in Pakistan as well as at global level.

He said that we can only bring radical change with giving the proper guidance and counseling to the youth and student. He also said that his organization “Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights” playing its role for the promotion of interfaith harmony, understanding, peace, social tolerance under the banner of United Religion Initiatives’ (URI). Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori briefed Mr. Masood Khan about the completed and ongoing projects of Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights in which women empowerment, health education, computer literacy, youth education and interfaith harmony are prominent.

Mr. Masood Khan lauded the efforts of Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Haman Rights for the betterment of humanity. During the meeting, Mr. Muhammad Ijaz Noori presented the official shield to Mr. Masood Khan and also presented the intercultural award, awarded to Pakistan Council for Social Welfare & Human Rights by United Nations Alliance of Civilization and BMW groups to acknowledge the PCSW&HR’s innovate efforts for the promotion of intercultural and interfaith harmony, understanding, peace & justice and social tolerance. Mr. Noori also presented the annual performance report of PCSW&HR to Mr. Khan the permanent representative of Pakistan at United Nation.
