PEACE CC member and environment activist, Sirajuddin. M. Horaginamani encouraged and joined hands with school children to support ‘Clean India Mission’ (Swachh Bharath Abhiyan) at Holy Creseant Educational Society’s Alhuda School situated in KHB Colony of  Bijapur City, Karnataka on 25th November, 2014.

Recently, India's Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the ‘Clean India Movement' (Swachh Bharath Abhiyan) which has taken the country by storm. Many Indian celebrities have also joined the movement by coming forward to support the great cause.

Inspired by the cause Sirajuddin encouraged several children in his area to take part in this cleaning mission. For about one hour together they cleaned the entire school premises with great enthusiasm. Before that, Sirajuddin spoke about the importance of Cleanliness and recalled India's Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhiji’s famous quote “Cleanliness is next to godliness”. He narrated, how Mahatma Gandhi set had set an example of good human being through his virtuous character and that Cleanliness was part of his existence.

Encouraged by the talk, school staff and children got together to spread the slogan of 'Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat" by cleaning the premises and encouraged spectators to not dirty the stands, and if they do it, they must clean it up themselves.

Children were very happy to be part of this noble cause. Now they plan to have this done once a month.

"I feel proud for being part of Mahatma Gandhiji’s dream of Cleanliness. And I think we all must and should participate in such cleanliness drives outside our homes and schools too” said Alhuda School's fourth standard student Zabeeullah. J. Inamadar.
