Happy Diwali everyone.

May the light of Diwali illumine the whole world, brightening the places where violence and injustice cast shadows over the lives of so many people.

Dear Friends,

Namaste and Greetings of Happy Deepavali (Diwali) from India. This Festival is very well known as the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of good over the evil, or another way, victory of light over dark. In many other Indian states it is also the beginning of a new business year. Deepavali literally translates to "lines of light." According to popular legend, when Lord Rama returned from his 14 years of exile after defeating Raavana, the people of Ayodhya lighted candles and diya to celebrate his return to the kingdom.

But here is my realization as we grow with the consciousness of oneness and working towards the global peace, that as according to the PPP of our URI, the festival of lights helps me to understand the light in each of you and helps me to deepen into own way of sustaining universal love to be shared with you all.

Here I am sharing a moment..... a moment of holding you in my thoughts and prayers, that may we all live in the light of peace, justice and healing.

Love you all, Happy Deepavali.

Greetings of peace,

Today I visited our KASTURVA CC at Delhi to celebrate Diwali Milan.

Diwali or Dipawali is India's biggest and most important festival.

The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (or diya) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects us from spiritual darkness.
